Twenty Ten

2010.. really? Where has the time gone? I was thinking of New Years resolutions that I might actually stick to for once, and I thought.. why not try and blog more regularly! ( I know what you are thinking John!) So I'll give this another chance!
Last year seemed like a crazy year, Lincoln wasn't working, we're still caring for his elderly mother, Patrick was diagnosed and treated for Osteosarcoma, Alijah started 3rd grade, Lincoln finally got a job offer to be a Phlebotomist, Patrick is in remission! and finally a job offer with IHC to handle their phone system. We are very grateful for this new job, better pay but not the best hours. Now we have to figure out what we will be doing with Alijah after school. Times like these I wish I could stay home! Since I can't, I'll just be grateful that I have a job!
So here's to a new year! Hope everyone stays healthy and happy!

Consistently Inconsistent...

These are words that I hear from my unwed husband constantly.. "Why can't I be more consistent?" It drives him nuts how I can just change my mind at the drop of a hat. He is more of a planner than I. He needs to know what is going on, well before it happens, or he won't participate.. or worse, complain the whole time. I told him the only thing consistent about me is my inconsistency.. This got me to thinking about things in my life. Maybe I do need to be more consistent about things.. have more regularity in my life. Not to say that my life is filled with Chaos or anything, but I know I can be better about putting a few things first in my long list of want-to-do's and need-to-do's.

Addicted to blogging.....

reading them, that is.. not posting them!
I have a huge list of bookmarked blogs that I follow on a regular basis. So after following along anonymously for so long, I figured why not give this blog thing a try. Come to find out, this isn't as easy as I thought it was. Some of the blogs I follow post quite regularly, I always get so excited when I see there is something new to read, others it takes forever and I wonder what the hold up is. Now I know why! it's hard to be creative and witty. I'll do my best in the future.

I'll leave you with a quote from my little lady. While leaving a wedding reception on Saturday night I saw her take a whiff of her armpit and asked if she stunk, she said, "I'm just embracing the stink!" So with her wise words, I'm going to embrace the stink!
